It’s All About Convenience…

If you are looking for work or looking for clients, it is all about convenience. In today’s world people do not want to be inconvenienced. They want what they want with no hassles.

For job seekers:

If you are looking for a job, do not just call them up and ask “Are you hiring?”.  It comes across as desperate.  Employers are looking for people who can “do the job” and so when they are looking for a new employee, they want to have the person prove why they fit the job. and a good way to do that is….

Get a good well written resume.  There is no tool more vital to getting your foot in the door and opening up opportunities. Your resume needs to stand out as clean, clear and concise from the very first glance. If you do a poor job of this, it will be their only impression of you. Now take that resume and drop it off in person and well dressed.

Even if you are just applying to the local bar or restaurant. If there is just one open position, fifty applicants and you are the only one with a resume, that job is yours. look at it this way. If you have forty nine hand written applications and one well written and visually pleasing resume, which one are you going to read.

For clients and or customer seekers:

In today’s heavily competitive  market place people want to know one thing and one thing only. “What is the value in it for me”. And nothing answers this question better than a professional looking website. A cheaply done website is just not going to work.

People want to know they are dealing with professionals. They will not risk their hard earned money on anything less nor should they.

A website is not for you, it is for your clients/customer.

People today do not want to call around or worse yet drive around from place to place looking for the best deal. When they can and will do it from the convenience of their own home. And it dose not matter if it is between business hours or it is midnight.  Websites are open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

For example a doctor or photographer can have clients book appointments right from their website. A house painter or contractor can a record of all the things they did in their home for the clients to access anytime they need to. They can have pictures and bios of the workers that are going to be in their home for piece of mind. Retailers can officer their products for sale online to buy at anytime day or night.

Another convenience to having a website is you stop being invisible to the people trying to find you online.  People theses days have smart phones in their pockets. They are going to Google a product or service they may need and if you do not have a website that is a missed sale you could have made.

Websites add credibility:

When a client/customer wants to buy your product or service they will want to ensure that you are who you say you are. A website adds a sense of stability as client/customer know they will have a way to get in contact with you if they should need to. They can also see a list of past clients and testimonials.
